“Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, ❤️“Son, your sins are forgiven you.”” Mark 2:2, 5 NKJV

When Jesus saw their [active] faith [springing from confidence in Him], He said to the paralyzed man, ❤️“Son, your sins are forgiven.” But some of the scribes were sitting there debating in their hearts [the implication of what He had said], “Why does this man talk that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins [remove guilt, nullify sin’s penalty, and assign righteousness] except God alone?” Immediately Jesus, being fully aware [of their hostility] and knowing in His spirit that they were thinking this, said to them, ❤️“Why are you debating and arguing about these things in your hearts? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has the authority and power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralyzed man, ❤️“I say to you, get up, pick up your mat and go home.” And he got up and immediately picked up the mat and went out before them all, so that they all were astonished and they glorified and praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”” Mark 2:2, 5-8, 10-12 AMP | Lesson Received! Today’s lesson Mark 2/16, today’s verses: “¶I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.” Psalms 32:8 “But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 AMP•🚶🏽♂️ ““Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation [obtained through faith in Jesus Christ]. [Ps 107:20]” Acts 13:26 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” James 5:16 AMP When ‘Your Sins Are Forgiven You’: Lesson Received!
